„Bords de Seine"-Label (Frankreich) Hallo Nico, erzähl uns mal bitte etwas zur Entstehungsgeschichte Deines Labels „Bords de Seine" und wie es dazu kam. Hallo, ich heiße Nico BDS und bin nebenbei auch der Drummer von Haircut. „Bords de Seine" ist eine nicht auf Profit und unpolitisch ausgerichtete Organisation (Label, Mailorder und „Oi! en France Festival"). Unser erster Name war „Cranes Blasés Records", welches 1998 von Bruce, Eddie und mir (Nico BDS) ins Leben gerufen wurde. Der Name war eine Wortspielerei aus „Cranes Rases", der französische Ausdruck für Skinheads und „Blasés", welches aussagt, dass wir von etlichen Dingen beeinflusst werden (Politik, Poser...). Eddie verließ „Cranes Blasés", um sein eigenes Label zu gründen, welches „Revenge/Coquenais Records" heißt, dies war 2000. Wir mussten uns umbenennen, nachdem ein Punk und Skintitel auf der Vorderseite unserer ersten Compilation erschien, sie hieß „Fin de siecle". Wir wussten zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht, dass darauf ein Copyright bestand und der Fotograf (ein roter Gayskin!!!) wollte 5.000,-T€ Entschädigung haben, nachdem er noch Wochen zuvor 2.000 haben wollte. Für uns war es unmöglich, diese Summe aufzubringen und wir stoppten „Cranes Blasés", so entgingen wir einem Prozeß. In der selben Woche gründeten wir „Bords de Seine" als neue Organisation. „Bords de Seine" ist ein Song der französischen 80er Kultband L´Infanterie Sauvage und außerdem leben alle am Ufer der Seine. Seit etwa zwei Jahren kümmer ich mich allein um „Bords de Seine" (Label & Mailorder). Nico Haircut (Gitarrist) hilft mir, wo er nur kann bei der Netzseite und der Shirtgestaltung. Bruce und seine Frau helfen bei der Organisation der Festivals. Während dieser zwei Jahre lebte ich nur vom Label und Mailorder, aber es ist sehr schwierig. Die französische Szene ist sehr klein (und verstreut); viele kaufen auch keine Platten und CDs mehr, da sie MP3s vorziehen. So steht „Bords de Seine" für eine nicht auf Profit basierende Organisation und ist ein Hobbie von mir.
Produzierst Du nur Oi! und Streetpunkbands und was für Voraussetzungen muß eine Band mitbringen, um bei Dir unter Vertrag zu kommen? Zuallererst muß ich die Musik selber mögen und die Band muß lebhaft sein (alive & kicking). Ich produziere etwas mehr als 60 Bands und die meisten kommen aus der Oi!-Sparte. Aber es gibt auch Ausnahmen: 2 Skabands (Liquidators, Explorerzs), 1 Punkrockband (Cortege), 1 Vikingrockband (Ukkos Jumala) und zwei weitere Punkgruppen (Cre d´Alerte, KK 44).
Welche Musik bevorzugst Du privat? Oi!-Musik ist meine Lieblingsmusik! Ich höre viele alte französische Bands der 80er: Skinkorps, L´Infanterie Sauvage, Tolbiac´s Toads, Snix, Collabos, Evil Skins... darüber hinaus liebe ich alte Sachen der Böhse Onkelz, habe sie leider nie live gesehen.
Auf der Promo-CD sind Bands der ganzen Welt vertreten. Wie kommen die Bands zu Dir? Kontaktierst Du sie, oder melden sie sich bei Dir? Ich kenne viele französische Bands persönlich, so ist die Zusammenarbeit einfach. Anfangs nahm ich den Kontakt zu den ausländischen Bands auf. Heute melden sich die Bands bei mir und das ist großartig.
Kannst Du uns sagen, was Deiner Meinung nach, Dein bestes und Dein schlechtestes Produkt ist, sofern es das gibt? Nein, das ist schwierig, sorry. Heute sind meine Favoriten Anti Squad, Ultimo Asalto, The Solution, Clockwork Crew und Tir Groupe!
Für die Oi! und Punkszene gibt es eine Menge Labels und Mailorder. Was macht gerade „Bords de Seine" unverzichtbar? Ich produziere nur lebendige Bands und bin bereit, das Risiko einzugehen, Bands der ganzen Welt zu produzieren.
Aus welchen Ländern kommen die meisten Besteller? Sicher aus Frankreich (hier habe ich etwa 300 Käufer, ich weiß, für Euer Land ist das eine geringe Zahl, für Frankreich ist das viel), im Ausland habe ich etwas über 100 Besteller, speziell aus Deutschland, der Schweiz, Belgien und den USA.
Welche Bands gibt es bei Euch? Sales Batards Fucking Crew, Sons Foi Ni Loi, The Janitors, The Veros und aus Paris und Vorstädten Crane De Fer, Urban Crew, Hard Times, Cortege, Traquenard und Haircut.
Gibt es Zines in Deiner Gegend? „In our minds", „Une vie pour rien", „Sans sursis", „Les caves se rebiffent", „Mieux que des coups de docs", „No one likes us", „Underground revenge" sind die bekanntesten aus Frankreich.

„Bords de Seine"-Label (France)
Please tell us a bit about your label "Bords de Seine" and how came it to this name and this label. Hallo, I´m Nico BDS (& Haircut drummer). "Bords de Seine" Production is a non-for-profit & non-political Skinheadorganisation based in France (label, mailorder and "Oi! en France festival"). Our first name was"Cranes Blasés Records" created in 1998 by Bruce, Eddie and me (Nico BDS). The name was a play on words which is "Cranes Rases" = Skinheads in French and "Blases" means that we are fed up with a lot of things (politics, posers…). Eddie left "Cranes Blasés" for creating his own label "Revenge/Coquenais records" in 2000, just before we were forced to stop it. It´s because of the "Punk & Skin"-picture on the front sleeve of our french-compilation called "Fin de siecle". We really didn´t know it was copyright and the photographer (a red & gay Skin!!!) asked us near 5.000 € a few weeks after its release in 2.000 for the "loss". It was totally impossible for us to pay, we stopped "Cranes Blasés", so we escaped to the proceedings against us! ;-) The same week, we created a new organisation called "Bords de Seine" (it´s a song of the french 80´s cult band L´Infanterie Sauvage and we all live by the river called La Seine too). Since almost two years, I run alone "Bords de Seine" (label & mailorder). Nico Haircut (guitarist) helps me a lot with the website and the artworks of sleeves. I help a little Bruce & his wife for the organisation of festivals. During these two years, I wanted to live with the label & mailorder, but it´s quite impossible, the French scene is small (& divited) and most people don´t buy anymore records (mp3…). So "BDS" will stay a non-for-profit organisation and a hobby for me.
Produce you only Oi! and Streetpunkbands and what prerequisite must a band have that you produce them? First of all I have to like the music and the band has to be alive (& kicking!). I produced a little more than 60 bands and most of them are Oi!. There are few exceptions: 2 Skabands (Liquidators, Explorerzs), 1 Punkrock (Cortege), 1 Vikingrock (Ukkos Jumala) and 2 Punkbands (Cri d´Alerte, KK44).
What music do you prefer privat? Oi! music is still my favorite one! I listen to most of French bands of the 80´s: Skinkorps, L´Infanterie Sauvage, Tolbiac´s Toads, Snix, Collabos, Evil Skins… and I am still a fan of Böhse Onkelz even if I prefer their old sound and if I have never seen them live.
On your Promo-CD are bands from all over the world. How came the bands to you and contact you the bands or contact the bands you? I know personelly most of the French musicians and bands, so it´s simple to work with them. At the beginning I had to contact the foreign bands but most of them are coming to me now, it´s great.
Can you say what your best product and what the badest if it give some bad stuff. No, it´s impossible, sorry. My favorites of today are Anti Squad, Ultimo Asalto, The Solution, Clockwork Crew and Tir Groupe!
For the Oi! and Punkscene give it many labels and mailorder. What makes your mailorder and label unique for the masses? I only produce alive bands and I am the one to take the risk to produce young and worldwide bands.
From which country came the most orders? In France of course (I have near 300 customers, I know that this number is small for your country) and a little more than 100 foreign customers, specielly in Germany, Swiss, Belgium and the USA.
What bands give it at time in your country? Sales Batards Fucking Crew, Sans Foi Ni Loi, The Janitors, The Veros and from Paris & suburbs Crane De Fer, Urban Crew, Hard Times, Cortege, Traquenard and Haircut.
